Lauren Hutton is Named as StriVectin’s First Global Ambassador
Lauren Hutton, one of the world’s OG supermodels, has been named as the new face of US beauty brand StriVectin. The announcement is major for two key reasons: one, Hutton is the brand’s first ever celebrity global ambassador, and two, it focuses on promoting age positivity which we have plenty of time for.
Lauren first popped up on the scene nearly five decades ago and has forged a career with the kind of longevity almost all of today’s models would aspire to. At 75, she’s showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, either. Back in July, she walked the runway at Valentino Couture and in 2017 she was part of a Calvin Klein underwear campaign.
The new partnership with StriVectin is reported to be a “multi-year” deal and will begin with a campaign to celebrate the re-launch of the brand’s SD Advanced Plus Intensive Moisturizing Concentrate. The product was first launched in 2002 and quickly gained cult status for it’s almost-magic results. The new formulation is designed to target wrinkles and stretch marks using the brand’s patented Collagex-CE Complex with Copper Tripeptide and Marine Ferment to target skin-boosting collagen for smoother, more even-looking skin. Plus, it moisturizes for 72 hours from application.
Joan Malloy, CEO of StriVectin, said of the partnership, “[Lauren] redefined beauty when she first popped on the scene five decades ago — and she’s still doing it today. She’s showing up still, again and again, to show all women, that life doesn’t end at 40! We’re inspired by her intelligence, resilience, authenticity and fierce determination. We see her as a real partner, with a shared passion and purpose. We’re not just interested in her face — we want her voice and opinions as well.” Meanwhile, Hutton praised the brand for being “hip enough to show the world that we can be beautiful at all ages” adding that she was “proud” to appear in the campaign alongside her goddaughter Nina Clemente.
