Makeup artist Elya Bulochka has been accessorizing with dead fish and people are pissed about it
In today’s edition of weird and horrible news, a Russian makeup artist named Elya Bulochka has been posting shots on her Instagram account where she’s laid dead fish on her face as an extension of the mermaid trend that was so prominent this past summer. (Remember merman hair?)
People have been angrily commenting things like “Animals are not things” on her pics, to which she replied that the fish were already dead (uh…) and these shots were no different than the fish on our plates. In one post, Bulochka held up a plastic bag full of dead fish and captioned it “Guess what I’m going to be wearing today?” That one’s since been deleted.
While perusing Bulochka’s Instagram page, we also discovered that she likes to use live bugs in shoots.
