Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, and Rodarte’s ballerina costumes are coming to TIFF

The Toronto International Film Festival announced the 2010 line-up this morning. At the top of the fashion-watchers list is Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, which is making its North American premiere at TIFF. The “psychological thriller set in the world of New York City ballet” stars Natalie Portman and features costumes by Rodarte. (Check out this stunner above.) Portman plays a ballerina who develops a twisted friendship with a rival dancer, played by Mila Kunis.

Red carpet pundits will be happy to learn that style heavyweights Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman and Hilary Swank have already been confirmed and we can only hope that Portman shows and brings some Rodarte with her. Other names to watch for in the coming weeks are Catherine Deneuve, who stars in François Ozon’s Potiche, Naomi Watts for Woody Allen’s You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, Carey Mulligan for Never Let Me Go, Bond girl Rosamund Pike, who has two films at TIFF, and Michelle Williams for Blue Valentine.

The film fest gets started on September 9. We’ll have red carpet coverage, interviews and more at fashionmagazine.com/redcarpet.
