Mavi is collaborating with Hussein Chalayan and we’ve got the avant-garde scoop!

Mavi’s wearable styles will be given a dose of the avant-garde as it launches into its first-ever collaboration with Hussein Chalayan.

The collaboration will feature some of Mavi’s most-loved styles from its premium Mavi Gold line, including skinny jeans, high-rise skinnies and denim shorts, tops and dresses, all with an athletic spin. Chalayan’s inspiration for the collection came from the human body, and he gave the denim wares “shape-shifting” touches through the addition of bonded tape, elastic bands and sports mesh panels.

The Turkish denim brand and British designer have slated their North American launch for November, followed by a worldwide launch in 2013. The collection, which ranges from $160–$200, will be available in denim specialty and department stores as well as international Mavi flagship stores (including Vancouver).
