Maybelline New York announces supermodel Frida Gustavsson as the newest face of the brand
Maybelline New York has just announced that model Frida Gustavsson will be the newest spokesperson for the global cosmetic brand. Just four years into her career, the Swedish-born model is well on her way to becoming a household name—and this Maybelline partnership is sure to be a game-changer. Gustavsson has walked the runways for major designers (Valentino, Chanel, Marc Jacobs Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen and Prada, just to name a few) and been featured in both international magazine spreads and countless ad campaigns for a variety of high (such as Mulberry) and low (like H&M) fashion brands.
Maybelline, who most recently featured pink-haired model Charlotte Free in ad campaigns, will debut Gustavsson’s campaign later this year. While no details are available as to what we can expect from the campaign, its launch just may tie in with the Spring 2014 shows. Considering that Maybelline is the makeup sponsor of Toronto’s World MasterCard Fashion Week, our fingers are crossed for the chance to see Gustavsson both backstage and on the runway.
