Meghan Markle Goes Tonal For Her First Appearance of 2020
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to work today after their two month break, looking refreshed and ready for a new year. The pair arrived at London’s Canada House today to a cheering crowd waving Canadian flags ahead of meeting with Janice Charette, the High Commissioner in Canada to the UK, in order to thank her and her staff “for the warm Canadian hospitality and support they received during their stay” in Canada across the holidays.
Harry and Meghan greeted fans who had gathered to welcome the pair outside of Canada House before heading inside.

Before arriving to Canada House, it was revealed that Harry and Meghan paid a private visit to the Hubb Community Kitchen – the organization with whom Meghan wrote the Together: Our Community Kitchen cookbook last year. According to royal expert Emily Nash, the Duchess wanted to “check in” with the women after her break.
For today’s outing, Meghan opted a sleek, tonal ensemble consisting of a cool camel coat by Reiss, a caramel brown turtleneck (which is believed to be from H&M), a deep brown silk skirt from Massimo Dutti and chic velvet pumps from Jimmy Choo.
In a tweet posted by royal commentator Omid Scobie, Charette said of the visit, “It was a pleasure as always to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Canada House, for their second visit in less than a year. We are delighted Their Royal Highnesses were able to enjoy warm Canadian hospitality during their recent stay in Canada. Today’s visit provided an opportunity to discuss some of the common priorities and values shared by Canada and Their Royal Highnesses, such as a commitment to conservation and fighting the challenges of climate change, supporting the economic and democratic empowerment of young women and girls and encouraging young people and youth leaders in Canada and across the Commonwealth to actively engage in the social, economic and environmental challenges of their generation.”
Per media reports, the couple gushed about their time in British Columbia during the visit. After asking if anyone in the room was from BC, Prince Harry said, “What a wonderful place you live in. Thank you so much for having us,” before joking, “Not that any of you had anything much to do with it. But the warmth and hospitality we were shown while there was unbelievable, and that’s exactly why we chose to go out there, so thank you. Meghan added, “My goodness it was just such an incredible time we were able to have out there and with our son, too. Just to be able to take in the warmth that we experienced from the people but also just to walk around and see the beauty of Canada, to see Archie go, ‘aaah’ when you walk by and see how stunning it is. It meant a lot to us.”
