MFW diary: Blue-crushing for spring’s surf inspired offerings

Everybody’s goin’ surfing, and not just on the web. Ever since my shoot in Hawaii last week (watch for it in our upcoming Winter issue), I have surfing on the brain (in case you’re one of the very few who haven’t been the recipient of my shameless bragging or seen my surf pics as I wave them in your face). Clearly I’m not the only one focused on my new favourite sport. Spring 2012 accessories collections are rife with surf references—from bright Hawaiian-punch sandals at both Sergio Rossi and son, Gianvito Rossi, to hibiscus-hued bags at Tod’s and practically everywhere else. My latest blue-crush? Jimmy Choo‘s photo-print surf clutch. It’s basically me on a purse, right?
