Milk Makeup is Launching a Very 4/20-Friendly Mascara
Whether or not you’re not celebrating 4/20 in the traditional sense, you can still participate in the festivities. Milk Makeup is launching an aptly named Kush High Volume Mascara this Friday and it’s sure to get your lashes super high.
The product—which is made with CBD-rich cannabis oil—doesn’t contain any psychoactive THC, so you don’t have to worry about heading to work with red eyes and a dry mouth after your morning routine. But Kush is more than just a buzz word or some attention-seeking campaign. Cannabis oil is an extremely beneficial ingredient—and the perfect one for a brand like Milk Makeup, who prides itself on vegan products.
When it comes to mascara, many popular brands still use beeswax, whereas Milk Makeup has worked hard to replace harm-inducing ingredients like these in their products, and boasts a lineup that is 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
Cannabis oil is a way for the brand to continue showcasing natural ingredients. The company revealed that they have always wanted to create a product that showed the amazing benefits of this natural oil, and this mascara formulation took them two years to perfect. Cannabis oil is a conditioning and hydrating ingredient that promises less flaking and fallout than a regular mascara. The creamy formula allows for a super smooth application and an easy removal at the end of the day.
This product in particular, also contains unique heart-shaped fibers that coat your lashes, adding extra width and length. A tree-shaped wand, dubbed the “puff puff,” helps achieve an even application.
Over the years, other beauty brands have also embraced the benefits of cannabis, but their products have been primarily focused on skin care. Makeup, on the other hand, is still a relatively new territory when it comes to incorporating CBD. We hope Milk Makeup will continue to expand their Kush line in the future, but for now, you can pick up this dope mascara on April 20th at Sephora for $29.
