Name: Stephanie Christian
Agency: Ford Models
Where you’ve seen her: On the runways at Halifax’s Atlantic Fashion Week and at LG Fashion Week in Toronto, and in our On The Market video sporting fashion market editor Sarah Casselman’s top denim picks.
How did you get into modelling?
“I never really considered modelling before I was approached by a friend to model for a magazine she was creating as part of her thesis in fashion communications at Ryerson University. From there I realized that I had potential and decided to pursue it further.”
What beauty product can you not live without?
“I don’t usually wear a whole lot of makeup, but I never leave the house without using my eyebrow powder by Artistry. I started using it about a year ago and now I can’t stand not having filled in eyebrows.”
What do you do when you?re not modeling?
“As I have recently moved to Toronto for modeling I havent had much free time to do anything else. So the time I am left with is usually spent on trying to catch up on sleep and exercise, but when I do have enough time I am at home with my family in Halifax, and life guarding at a local pool!”
What’s your dream travel destination?
“I’ve been pretty fortunate when it comes to travelling as my mother works for Air Canada. So I have already been to many of my dream travel destinations such as New Zealand and Honduras. However, now that I am getting involved in the fashion industry, my goal and dream destination is New York.”
What’s the last movie you saw?
“Wayne’s World. I watch it way too much.”
