Moose Knuckles Opens a Peep Show Pop Up
In this era of Cool Canadiana, Moose Knuckles captures the whack charm of this nation in a way that’s not “please”, “thank you” or “sorry”. Take a bit of fur, add a puffer coat, or a generous dose of Buffalo Plaid and, I don’t know about you, but I’m back at a lonely strip mall with my friends in -20 (this was pre-global warming when Toronto actually had winters). “A wild night or the wild country, we’ve got you covered,” is what Moose Knuckles promises on their social feeds, so when the high-end, homegrown outerwear brand brought its “Peep Show” Pop Up to Yorkdale, we had to check it out.
“Peep Show,” gives fans a chance to try out the new Moose Knuckles #customizeyourcrew app IRL. With three coat styles, eight shell colours, 18 fur options, nine logo treatments and endless patch opportunities, there are over 3,888 ways to stand out and stay cozy. From design to delivery, custom creations take 30 to 60 days to produce at their factories in Winnipeg, Manitoba and arrive at your doorstep. Suffice to say the pop-up feels more like an underground after-hours club than a place to shop, which makes me think: How decadent will the store be?
Peep Show is now open at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto until mid October, when a freestanding Moose Knuckles boutique opens.
