Well friends, it might be time to admit that we’re into the last lazy hazy crazy days of summer. Fashion is totally focused on fall trends and summer sales are everywhere. But if you can’t decide which of your favourite Spring 2012 pieces are worth an end-of-season splurge, why not test them out on your nails? This week Nail Corner does a medley manicure that takes inspiration from iconic items by Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jeremy Scott, Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler. Bring on the bows and cactus prints!

Marc by Marc Jacob-inspired nail polish bow
For the Marc by Marc Jacob-inspired bow:
1. Paint your entire nail with a champagne-coloured polish.
2. Use a dotting tool and gold polish to dot on the bow shape: start with the middle circle and then draw two triangles out of each side.
3. Use a smaller dotting tool and silver polish to add polka dot rhinestones onto the bow.
4. Outline with a black nail art pen.

1. Paint your entire nail white.
2. Use a black nail art pen to draw the zig zags at the tip of your nail.
3. Use a nail art brush and green polish, paint the cactus. First, paint a shallow U-shape for the arms. Then paint the main stem down the middle.
4. Use a black nail art pen to add detail to the centre.
