New Glasses Collaboration Spotlights Four Toronto Artists
Can you think of a method that exhibits a city’s multicultural and dynamic community through the eyes of its dexterous artists? Well Montreal-based eyewear collection BonLook has teamed up with four of Toronto’s influential talents to design lenses that reflects the city’s lively mosaic neighbourhoods.
#BonLookTO is a collaborative collection that displays authentic experiences and creative journeys from some of Toronto’s distinct communities. This eyewear partnership is a nostalgic ode to the different backgrounds and styles that are seen around the city.
The creative collective, and respective Toronto neighbourhoods, that inspired the #BonLookTO are seen via Yorkville designer Sean Brown, Kensington Market artist Maria Qamar, Scarborough creative producer Christina Cheng and Leslieville photographer Taha Muharuma.
BonLook is known for its fashion flair and exclusive styles – all noteworthy factors embodied within this collaboration. The collection includes a variation on thinly-framed round lenses in neutral and bold tones, and cat-eye frames with gold detailing in each corner. Collaborating has always been a big part of the BonLook brand. According to CEO and Co-Founder Sophie Boulanger, it’s crucial for BonLook to tap into the local culture of the cities where they work and create.
“We are excited to be working with some of the city’s most notable young influencers and are certain the creative output from the #BonLookTO collaboration is reflective of Toronto’s vibrancy and diversity.”
The new #BonLookTO collection is now available online and in 15 retail locations across Canada.
