New York: A modern take on Victorian at Rodarte

RODARTE Fall 2010. Photography by Peter Stigter

We came. We saw. We loved. Rodarte’s fall 2010 line-up was a gorgeous mash up of mesh, wool, tulle, lace, antique floral prints, tartan and embroidery. This time around the Mulleavy sisters focused on a softer silhouette and an overall lighter mood. Very Natalie Portman (who in fact attended the show). Pieces we need to get our mitts on immediately (why wait until fall?) include the blush tone crepe leggings, crochet knit tops, vintage-inspired rose print dresses, and a shearling jacket. The final four looks, in all of their shredded white lace, pearl and tulle glory, looked perfectly suited for any modern bride or model Karen Elson on any given day.
