NYFW Spring 2018: The 11 Most Memorable Beauty Looks Backstage
I know what you’re thinking: 11 is a strange number to choose for a roundup. Why not keep it at an even 10? Honestly, I tried. But there really were 11 super cool and truly memorable looks from the past week (AKA New York Fashion Week Spring 2018). So, 11 it is.
First, we’ve got the shimmer and shine crowd. Models at Jeremy Scott wore skin-coloured crystals underneath their eyes, done by makeup artist Kabuki, and bright pink or orange nails, adorned with silver glitter running down their fingers, as though their hands had been dipped in a pot of sparkles, courtesy of Miss Pop Nails. At Anna Sui, Pat McGrath went super glossy on models’ skin, and adorned their eyelids with loose glitter, and drew a vertical glitter line in the centre of the eye, all the way down to the cheek.
Then there was the eyeliner crowd, which was seemingly the most popular of the bunch this season. Models at Jason Wu, Monse, Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford, among others, wore liner looks that were anything but your standard cat eye. From round, chunky shapes, to intricate, graphic designs, liner was a must-have backstage.
