Prada gives us a quirky French love triangle with a 3-part fragrance film for Candy L’Eau
From the duo that brought us Moonrise Kingdrom—Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola—comes a three-part film series introducing us to the latest Prada perfume, Prada Candy L’Eau.
The first episode—just over a minute in length—introduces us to the namesake main character, Candy, and her two French gentlemen friends. (We suspect she’s aiming to find herself in the middle of a love triangle by episode two.) Played by French actress Léa Seydoux, Candy stuffs her face with popcorn and says “banana split” in the cutest French accent we have ever heard, all while wearing the Prada Spring 2013 collection.
The new scent, available in department stores worldwide, is a “fresher and more joyful version” of the original Prada Candy fragrance, the company’s press release states. As for episodes two and three, all will be available by March 30 at prada.com.
We can’t wait to see what happens in the next two instalments of Candy’s life but there’s only one problem: the videos just aren’t long enough! Seriously, we’d watch a full-length feature film about Prada’s Candy.
Update: You can watch episode two and three now on Prada’s YouTube channel.
