Project XPOSED Celebrates Gigi Gorgeous with Toronto Photo Exhibit
Earlier this month, Toronto’s fashion industry, socialites and fashion lovers gathered at Yorkville Village to celebrate Canadian “icon in the making” – Gigi Gorgeous.
Known for her bold style, the event was decorated with images of Gigi photographed by Chris Nicholls and artwork by Lorca Moore & Patty Watteyne, and was hosted by Toronto-based organization PROJECT XPOSED. George Antonopoulos, FASHION’s Creative and Fashion Director, co-founded the project with Glenna Weddle in 2017 with the goal of achieving total inclusion in the arts, fashion and culture industries. It has previously collaborated with the likes of Hugo Boss and Lady Fag.
Speaking of the evening, George said, “Gigi Gorgeous is a trailblazer. She’s a model, author, activist and an amazing role model. She stands so for many things and it is an honour to celebrate her achievements through this incredible photo series.”
Gigi was joined at the event by wife Nats Getty (the pair recently wed in July of this year) and wore Adrian Arnieri for the evening.
In addition to the exhibition, the event saw the sale of a limited edition run of GIGI X XPOSED hoodies, the profits from which were then donated to The 519 Org, Canada’s largest LGBTQ2S community centre, to aid their anti-violence initiatives.
The images are available to purchase in various sizes via PROJECT XPOSED‘s website, alongside the hoodies sold on the night.
