Queen Letizia is a vision of royal perfection at King Felipe’s coronation

It seems that our latest royal obsession might have just one upped Kate Middleton. Earlier today, Princess Letizia was crowned Queen of Spain, making her the picture of style perfection with a much glitzier tiara
To accompany her husband, Prince Felipe, inherit the throne, the 41-year-old journalist-come-royal wore a knee-length coat featured jewel tone neckline embellishments by Spanish designer Felipe Varela. Formal yet sleek, the look was accompanied with a nude clutch and matching pumps complete the Queen’s (appropriately) modest style for the event.
This is not the first collaboration between Queen Letizia and Felipe Varela. Previously turning to the Madrid-based talent several times over the course of her ten-year marriage, Varela created the crimson satin gown Letizia wore in 2010 and the sleek long sleeve black lace gown she wore earlier this month.
The couple’s young daughters Leonor and Sophia, in pleated three-quarter sleeve dresses in soft pastel tones, were in attendance for the monumental ceremony which took place this morning at the Palace of Zarazuela, just outside Madrid. The morning ceremony followed the official proclamation that took place Wednesday at midnight.
With several coveted looks already under her belt, we can’t wait to see what Queen Letizia wears next.
