Reality TV train wreck Spencer Pratt showed an unusual amount of self-awareness yesterday in a column-slash-book-review he wrote for the Huffington Post. In what seems like the ultimate example of the pot calling the kettle black, Pratt wants readers to know the truth behind the Kardashian family’s money-making ways, stating that there are absolutely no coincidences to how Kim’s wedding and divorce have been publicized. Apparently, shilling every aspect of your life for cash is only forgivable if you’re super transparent about it:

“When I was manipulating the media for profit I was blatantly obvious about my attention-seeking antics, with the goal of making money off stories and photos. I never thought I was putting one over on the audience/viewer/reader.”
