Saskatoon: Frock stars

  

Spring is finally here and I have been searching high and low for some of the best seasonal frills for the summer and wanted to share my findings:

Tonic (122 2nd Ave. N., 306-975-1529, tonic-life.com) has started to receive their spring dress collections from Traffic People, Veromoda, BB Dakota and Nicky B, just to name a few. They are adding more daily, but get there soon to get the best selection.

Frakas (#1-183 2nd Ave. S., 306-665-3883, frakas.ca), the stylish little store on the corner, is still one of my favourite stops. With dresses by Jack, Pink Martini, Kensie, Nümph and DEPT, you are bound to leave with a few fresh finds.

For chain stores, Midtown Plaza (201-1st Ave. S.) has lots of pretty options: Leave it to Le Château (306-242-6670, lechateau.com) to not forget about the special summer occasions. Along with having some great vibrant choices, they also carry elegant dresses that are still fresh and flirty, perfect for summer weddings or last-minute parties.  For something you can wear to work, Costa Blanca (306-978-8830) and Urban Behavior (306-955-9084, urbanbehavior.com) are fantastic for a more professional look with an edge. They’ve the perfect balance of sassy and sophistication.

Last but not least, don’t forget about Stasia (1002a Central Ave., 306-931-2250, stasiaboutique.ca), a design and consign boutique that is always getting in chic bargains.
