Serena Williams Celebrated Her 50s-Themed Baby Shower With Celebrity Friends

A baby shower isn’t Instagram-worthy without a cool hashtag and a rocking theme.

Serena Williams’s recent baby shower checked both of these boxes.

With its fun 50s theme (the dress code called for retro classics like pearls and poodle skirts) and adorable hashtag #SHAKERATTLEANDROLL2017 (rattle, get it?) the celeb-filled fête was the perfect way to celebrate the expectant tennis star.

Williams looked super cute in a black off-the-shoulder top, a neon yellow poodle skirt, chunky pearls and black and white lace-up spectator shoes. Her famous friends, including Eva Longoria, Ciara, Kelly Rowland and La La Anthony, also dressed the part of 50s girls ready to jump and jive at the local soda shop. The sweet/chic looks included an array of swinging poodle skirts, bobby socks, white sneakers and scarves worn as hair accessories. As for beauty messages, party goers were all about retro-cool red lips.

Venus Williams (Serena’s older sis) got into the theme with a pretty polka dot dress and a red wide-brimmed hat with matching shoes. She rocked out with her bump-baring younger sis and Ciara to tunes on the vintage jukebox at Nick’s 50’s Diner in West Palm Beach, Florida.

A cherry red vintage pick-up truck was the ideal accessory to complete Kelly Rowland’s 50s-inspired look.

Judging by all of the envy-inducing photos shared by the guests on social media, Williams’s baby shower was a grand slam—and a ‘gram slam.

Engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, the 36-year-old tennis star hasn’t revealed her due date, but she’s reportedly due to give birth this September. Stay tuned!
