Now that the “I’m a mouse, duh” Halloween tactic has gotten a little old, Target has raked in costume master Simon Doonan, creative director at Barneys New York to design a line of costumes. Doonan, whose birthday falls on Halloween, says he’s a natural fit for the gig, “The holiday is huge and it’s growing. That’s why [Target] yodeled in yours truly.” The pun-filled collection (Trick or Trend,” “Chic or Treat”) is available in Target stores on Sept 12, but for us north of the border, we can get our hands on it at target.com starting August 22. Try the punk rock pumpkin, inspired by Jersey Shore, or perhaps a him-and-her costume of spaghetti and meatballs. [WWD]
