Snapped by Tommy Ton: “A balance of femininity and masculinity”

“I don’t intentionally photograph my subjects together, but this was a rare case when two of my favourite women came together. It was a street style ‘Kodak Moment.’ I love how a suit can empower a woman, and in the case of Caroline, she opted to keep her look more casual with a simple tee. Their sandals are somewhat menswear-inspired, which is nice because there is this balance of femininity and masculinity: The braid and basic tee with Caroline, and the safari-inspired jacket and flat sandals with Ece. I’m all for monochromatic dressing—it’s easy and a guaranteed hit with everyone. Most people wear head-to-toe black, but it’s much more intriguing when a woman takes on a riskier colour. The cream and rust red are beautifully executed with contrasting flats. There’s a time for a higher heel, but a flat always wins, especially during fashion week in Paris.”
