SNP’s word of the day: Revengenda
Word: Revengenda
Meaning: An agenda in which the terminal aim is… duh, revenge. Do I have to tell you guys everything?
Usage: “What’s on the revengenda tonight?” — Nolan to Emily on the television show Revenge
You should know it because: The season finale second last episode of ABC’s prime-time soap aired last night, and I watched it in my hotel room with all the lights off this morning. Swag? No? Anyway, if you didn’t watch, I won’t spoil it except to say WHAT??!! And if you haven’t seen any of it, you should, because rarely does a so-called guilty pleasure deal so ravishingly with the problem of guilt. Set in the ninth circle of the Hamptons and stocked with more schadenfreude than Dante‘s “Inferno,” not to mention a Shakespearean cast of villains and antiheroes, Revenge is the show that will make you so, so glad you’re not rich. Well, you have to be rich enough to take three days off work, buy a lot of sweet-salty Smartfood and Chardonnay, and marathon this show, but that’s about it.
