Strathcona Stockings Isn’t Just Stockings Anymore
Once solely stockings, Vancouver’s Strathcona dips a toe into leisure wear. “I had a dream about a group of elderly women wearing wild and ornately patterned track suits—that was probably [its] inception point,” says designer Ryley O’Bryne. Geared towards travel and weekends, the made-in-Canada collection comprises 100 percent silk two-piece sets, tunics and slip dresses in O’Bryne’s original prints, including a Paul Gauguin-esque abstract of palm leaves.
