Street Style, Toronto: 27 shots of bloggers, artists and stylish toddlers outside fashion week
With a solid day two lineup, (including Narces, Vawk, Mélissa Nepton and David Dixon), guests brought their sartorial A-games to the tents. Show-goers paraded around in an array of looks that married both winter and spring trends, or as we like to call it, transitional dressing.
We saw a variety of leather bottoms—baggy, skin-tight, embellished and ankle grazing. Blogger Nelia Belkova paired hers with a cream-coloured fur jacket and a silver, studded Ela shoulder bag.
Motorcycle jackets in a range of hues were the topper of choice. Model Shelby Furber was spotted in a heavy-duty Acne Studios Velocite coat—a model-off-duty must-have. On the other end of the colour spectrum, Bustle’s Ruth Promislow donned a dark green one, alongside husband Shawn Hewson and their equally stylish daughter, who wore a lilac version.
Guests also went down the athleisure and normcore routes, yielding cool and practical results (think Adidas Superstar sneakers, gym socks and track jackets). But most of all, we’re advocates of the high-low and masculine-feminine mix, because you really can’t go wrong with a great pair of boyfriend jeans and sky-high Louboutins.
