TFW backstage beauty: IZMA

Photography by Jenna Marie Wakani

I didn’t attend LG Fashion Week last night and therefore, did not poke around backstage
at IZMA to grill the L’Oreal Paris hair and makeup teams about what they
were whipping up to complement the ultra glam collection, but damn I wish I
 had.

The side-parted, romantic clouds of curls were nothing short of
gorgeous. To create the 1930s with a soupcon of 70s hair, lead hair artist
Eric del Monaco used a double-barreled iron to create curves and if any
model’s hair was longer than shoulder length—so not ‘30s, people! —it was
tucked under at the nape and secured with bobby pins for a faux bob effect.
A mist of Elnett kept the volume in check. Meanwhile lead makeup artist Eddie Malter painted lids bronze, added a bit of chocolate brown to the
outer corner and topped it off with my current favourite mascara L’Oreal
Extra Volume Collagen. Cheeks got a sweep of Sculpting Blush Duo in Poppy
and obviously, no disco glam girl worth her sequins and furs is complete
without her deep merlot lip. In this case, Infallible Le Rouge in
 “Persistent Plum” did the trick.
