The Best Street Style Looks from New York Fashion Week S/S20
New York Fashion Week is officially underway and there has been no shortage of headline news from the spring/summer 2020 season so far. And whilst there has been plenty happening on the runways, there’s also a lot of newsworthy fashion happening away from them, too. Namely, via the street style looks curated by some of the industry’s coolest.
It’s been a big season for brights, with bold hues of purple, orange and green spotted on numerous showgoers across the first three days of the bi-annual fashion extravaganza. Plus, prints – whether polka dot or paisley – are also having a major moment. Suiting also remains key with colourblocked options being served up in terracotta and neutrals, alongside boiler suits in moss green. Tailoring has also proven popular with high collars, high-waisted trousers and trench coats popping up outside the shows. Statement shoulders remain a popular (and powerful) choice, too, whether printed or monochrome.

Street style has increasingly become a key part of fashion weeks globally, with the outfits sported outside of the shows proving to be just as influential (if not more, in some cases) as those sashaying down the runway. Plus, with the temperatures having dropped into fall territory already, the long layers and autumnal hues are giving us some fresh ideas for new season dressing. Stay tuned to FASHION for more outfit inspiration as the shows continue.
