Continuing their visit to Scotland, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made another appearance today with two separate engagements that included the opening of a new outdoor centre and a visit to the company responsible for building submarines for the UK Royal Navy.
Keeping with her tendency to recycle clothing, Kate Middleton wore an Armani red angora coat that she first wore to William’s passing out ceremony back in 2006. The wrap-around style still manages to conceal Kate’s baby bump, but we can see that she is starting to show a little bit more.
Continuing her Scottish theme from yesterday (she wore a tartan print coat by Molah), Kate also wore a Strathearn tartan scarf that she wore previously at the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant last year, which is a nod to her Scottish title, The Countess of Strathearn. She completed the look with the same Aquatalia boots that she wore yesterday, a pair of stunning amethyst drop earrings by Kiki McDonough, and her trademark Cornelia James side bow gloves.
In terms of their engagements, Prince Charles accompanied William and Kate for their first appearance of the day—the opening of the new Tamar Manoukian Outdoor Centre at Dumfries House. Despite the cold conditions, the trio still met with well wishers, including an eleven year old girl eager to show Kate the “Princess Catherine” doll she got for Christmas. Kate reportedly asked, “is that what my hair looks like?” upon seeing the doll’s overly voluminous locks. Later in the day, William and Kate visited the Astute-Class Submarine Building at BAE Systems, where they toured the facilities where naval submarines are built and designed.
