The Met Gala 2016 party looks you didn’t see on the red carpet
It’s an ongoing tradition for celebs to do a quick wardrobe change for their post-party festivities, especially when the gowns from earlier in the evening are more works of art than dance floor ready. We’re sure still busy processing every single look from the Met Gala red carpet, but with the party outfits looking this good, you really don’t want to miss a beat.
Take Beyoncé for example, who knew wearing sparkly Loewe pants would make it easier to bust out her Formation dance moves. Same goes for Bella Hadid and Lorde. After being the belles of the Met ball, these two ladies swapped their puffy gowns for sexy leather LBDs. As for Kylie Jenner and Hailey Baldwin? They tossed their sparkly (and probably super heavy) dresses in exchange for Olivier Rousteing’s Barbie-esque Balmain Fall 2016 mini dresses. But if we had to award our fave wardrobe change of the night, it has to go to Karlie Kloss. Rather than wearing another designer dress, Brandon Maxwell was on hand to make party-ready adjustments (read: cut her gown into a mini dress) for the model.
From Lady Gaga‘s disco ball-inspired gown to Zendaya‘s little gold number, scroll through to see the best Met Gala 2016 party looks.
