The Obamas Wrote Each Other Valentine’s Day Love Notes On Twitter
The former first couple may have broken our hearts when they left the White House, but it’s clear theirs are very much still intact. At least it’s safe to assume so with the recent PDA on social media.
Barack Obama kicked off Valentine’s Day early with a special tweet directed at none other than Michelle Obama – former FLOTUS and the love of his life.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, @michelleobama! Almost 28 years with you, but it always feels new.”

Within an hour, the former First Lady responded with her first tweet since January 20, and it was sugar sweet.
She posted, “Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life and favorite island mate” alongside a photo of the couple’s feet while relaxing together on a beach.

The Obamas have been taking a little break from social media since leaving the White House. After Trump’s inauguration, they were spotted vacationing on the British Virgin Islands with billionaire Richard Branson and shaking off the stress of eight years in one of the most powerful positions on the planet (see Barack wear his hat backwards and go kite-surfing).

They also spent time in Palm Springs and California, but are now back in DC where they’ll settle into post-presidency life.
Needless to say, this Valentine’s Day was probably the best they’ve had in eight years.
