It’s cold AF and if you’re anything like me, all you want to wear is a sweater. It doesn’t even matter what’s on the bottom (hell, I tried to make going pantsless a thing for years), because as long as I’m wearing something large and in charge on top, I feel cozy enough to get through another day of late-January misery. To avoid looking like a one-note, I’ve put together a guide to all the sweaters necessary to make a 5-day work week of a thing of cozy perfection. Behold, the only sweaters you need in your life right now.

The layerable sweater
This guy is perfect for those “my office is hot, but my commute is freezing” days. Throw it on overtop a collared white button down and pair with jeans or cropped trousers. Et voila!

The sweater dress
The simplest way to adapt an LBD-only wardrobe for cooler temps is by wearing a different kind of sweater dress every day. Just make sure you’ve got solid hosiery to match because bare legs are just painful to watch.
Kenzo fringed ribbed wool mini sweater dress ($298, net-a-porter.com)

The forgiving, chic sweater
This style is my wintertime calling card. It hides a post-holiday paunch, covers your chin when you’re not wearing a scarf, and looks awesome.
ASOS boxy jumper with high neck ($80, asos.com)

The “wear over everything” sweater”
This style is the perfect pal for a day full of errands. It looks hella chic even if you’re wearing an all-spandex outfit (and if it’s the weekend, I kind of hope you are).
Aritzia “Phelan” sweater ($125, aritzia.com)

The sexy sweater
So you want to go out, but you still want to wear a sweater? This here is your match made in heaven.
Club Monaco “Lulloo” sweater ($150, clubmonaco.ca)
