The rain didn’t stop this white night! 24 pictures from Toronto’s first Diner en Blanc event
Last night more than one thousand white-clad Torontonians flooded Fort York with food and umbrellas in hand for the city’s inaugural Diner en Blanc. The historic location for the pop-up picnic had been kept secret from attendees—many of them kept in the dark until they arrived on shuttle busses chartered for the event. Guests, who brought their own food, tables and cutlery, enjoyed live music and the company of strangers as they picnicked under the drizzling rain. We can’t imagine that food, rain and white clothing are the perfect pairing, but guests were unperturbed by the weather and definitely dined in style.
