The Royal Wedding’s Most Notable Beauty Looks
The Royal Wedding is upon us! While much of Canada has their alarms set for 6am—just before Prince Harry and Prince William are planned to arrive, and about half an hour before Meghan Markle’s big arrival—we’re opting for the early, early bird special: tuning in to the Royal Wedding guests’ arrivals, starting at 4:30am EST.
After all, this is no regular wedding—guests will be bringing their A-games, and a few of them just so happen to be A-listers, too. With Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, Oprah, The Spice Girls (!!!) and Meghan’s former Suits costars on the guest list, we just had to check out what our favourite celebs went for in the hair and makeup department for the big day.
Meghan’s good friend Serena Williams shared her getting ready process on Instagram Stories bright and early today, a process that included doing a sheet mask and getting her makeup done. Williams is wearing her hair in a chic long braided ponytail that reaches past her hips, and is showing off some newly shaped (according to IG stories) bold brows.
On the hair front, thanks to many fascinators showing up on the big day, we’re seeing plenty of chic chignons and updos (like Lady Kitty Spencer’s braided bun!). Perhaps more surprisingly, we’re seeing lots of loose, beachy waves—most notably, on Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, who dated the royal from 2003 to 2010, and on Amal Clooney (who btw shares a hairstylist with Meghan Markle’s rumoured wedding day stylist, Miguel Perez). Clooney chose a bright red lip to go with her even brighter yellow dress and fascinator for the Royal Wedding. No word on what the red is, but we’re willing to bet it’s part of Clooney’s go-to makeup artist, Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution line.
Victoria Beckham’s Royal Wedding beauty look is a bit more subdued, with the designer and former Spice Girl opting for dewy, highlighted skin and a sleek low ponytail. Then there’s Pippa Middleton, acting as a much-needed reminder to never forget blush! Priyanka Chopra arrived in head-to-toe lavender, with monochromatic pink makeup to complete her pastel look.
We’ll be updating this post as the celebs roll in, so stay tuned!
