The Schitt’s Creek Series Finale Will Be Followed By An Hour-Long Special
As much as we’d like to stay in denial forever, it’s time to face the facts. Episode 10 of Schitt’s Creek’s sixth and final season aired this week, which means we only have four more episodes to go before the end of one of the most beloved shows in television history.
To celebrate the series finale—and commiserate with devastated fans—viewers will get a one-hour special with the cast of the show after the finale airs on April 7. Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: A Schitt’s Creek Farewell will air at 8.30pm EST (9pm NT) on CBC and the free CBC Gem streaming service.

“Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: A Schitt’s Creek Farewell is our way of commemorating the end of this truly iconic series and saying thank you to all the fans in Canada and around the world who have joined us on a beautiful six-year journey,” said CBC’s Sally Catto in a statement. “This special night of programming gives audiences an opportunity to say goodbye to the characters, cast and town that have meant so much to them. In the words of David Rose himself, “I feel like that needs to be celebrated.””
The 60-minute special will give fans “an intimate and behind-the-scenes look” at the making of the final season, with never-before-seen footage of table reads, audition tapes and emotional moments from the last day on set. The special will chart the creation, rise and global popularity of the show, featuring interviews with the creators (Dan and Eugene Levy); inimitable cast, including Catherine O’Hara, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Robertson, Noah Reid and Sarah Levy; and celebrity fans like Carol Burnett, Tony Hale, Paula Abdul and Amy Sedaris.
Not to speak for anyone else, but it’s safe to assume that after this emotionally charged 90-minute experience, many Schitt’s Creek fans will be pulling a David Rose: “Popping a pill, crying a bit and falling asleep early.”
