The scoop on Beyoncé and Jay-Z “Drunk in Love” Grammy performance looks
Chair dance. Wet hair. Surfboard. Need we say more? The web’s been a buzz with Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s sultry “Drunk in Love” opening of last night’s Grammy Awards. And while the many GIFs and listicles might have already alerted you to the many ways it rocked, we’re here to talk about our favourite part: the clothes.
Beyoncé wore a mesh bodysuit designed by London-based lingerie label Nichole de Carle, which featured a cage overlay just perfect for a Queen trying to prevent her inner fierceness from leaking into the crowd. Said bodysuit was paired with a La Perla collar, custom bra, crystal Saint Laurent tights via the Fall 2013 runways and custom Swarovski-encrusted Stuart Weitzman “Swoon” pumps. Underneath her wet-look curls (word is, it’s actually oil from root to tip), Queen Bey wore Jennifer Fisher earrings.
As per usual, Hova repped Tom Ford on stage, wearing a black cocktail jacket, white evening shirt, black bow tie and black leather evening shoes by the designer.
Everyone’s already said it, but that ish was earth quaking.
