The sequined skull at the Givenchy Fall 2015 Men’s show took 8 hours to create
Who would have guessed that the coolest makeup looks would pop up during Men’s Fashion Week? But lo and behold the sparkly skull look that makeup artist Pat McGrath created at the Givenchy Fall 2015 Menswear show over the weekend, featuring (probably) one million pounds of glitter and sequins. Supermodels Doutzen Kroes, Joan Smalls and Imaan Hammam made surprise appearances on the runway alongside the guys, donning intense smoky eyes with splashes of green glitter and seriously glossy wine-hued lips, but we couldn’t take our eyes off of McGrath’s insane artwork on model Alexandre Valotto’s face.
McGrath also posted a photo of this mind-blowing seashell-encrusted look, and shared that it took eight hours (!) to create the sequin, glitter and crystal skull. Take a look at the removal process at the Givenchy Fall 2015 Men’s show below and enjoy this beautiful time when everything was sparkly and nothing hurt. Now if you’ll excuse us, we have some objects we need to glue to our faces.
