The Week in Celebrity Style: See Who Made Our Best-Dressed List, from Comic-Con and Beyond
Between the announcement of Wonder Woman’s sequel to the much-anticipated Stranger Things trailer, a lot went down at this past weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con. Celeb-packed red carpets included.
Plaid suits were the go-to looks for a couple of kick-butt actresses. While Cate Blanchett worked a Monse Resort 2018 menswear-inspired suit that oozed nonchalance, Sansa Stark Sophie Turner traded her usual Louis Vuitton dresses for a Racil Fall 2017 red and green checkered suit (sans shirt) at the Game of Thrones conference. Meanwhile, in non Comic-Con news, Cara Delevingne rocked two suits (a black Burberry number complete with a British vintage jewellery-inspired crystal capelet and an unconventional three-piece Alexander Wang look that consisted of a jacket-over-dress-over-pants situation) at the London premiere for Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets.
White-hot mini dresses were also a fave outfit choice for two of the biggest female super heroes of the moment. Gal Gadot (a.k.a Wonder Woman) stepped into the convention center wearing a long-sleeved Stella McCartney sequinned bodycon dress, while Charlize Theron’s bralette and mini skirt combo by Dior is our favourite look so far from her Atomic Blonde promo tour. With her platinum-blonde lob and red lip, the 41-year-old actress looked totally badass. And since we’re on the topic of standout red carpet looks we still can’t stop thinking about, Rihanna’s millennial pink ball gown.
