These Models Rescued a Group of Selfie-Taking Teens from a Frozen Pond
The road to becoming a supermodel is tough: You’re expected to have Barbie-doll looks, a charming personality, and a fiercely devoted social media following. If you’re lucky, the perfect opportunity may fall right in front of you.
This, as it turned out, was the case for newly-minted heroes, Ethan Turnbull and Bennett Jonas. The models were skateboarding through Central Park when they noticed a group of teenage boys had fallen through the ice. Said teens, who ranged from 15- to 16- years old, were talking a selfie on the frozen pond. Bad idea, kids.
Jonas, 23, hopped in the water to pull the boys out, passing each one to Turnbull, 24, who then dragged them to shore. Both male models took to Instagram to share their perspective of the event.
To quote Turnbull’s Instagram caption, “Right place right time.”
