They said/We said: Jenna Lyons puts her amazing Brooklyn townhouse on the market and we wish we had a spare US$3.75 million
Attention J.Crew diehards: if you have US$3.75 million lying around, you have the chance to buy Jenna Lyons’ Brooklyn townhouse. Imagine, being able to sleep and eat where Jenna did the same? The house, which has been featured in an endless list of design magazines, is just as crush-worthy as Lyons herself, with multiple wood-burning fireplaces, an entirely-done-in-marble bathroom, and a perfectly manicured backyard. When news broke that Lyons filed for divorce from husband Vincent Mazeau, it was reported that Mazeau wanted the house and a large settlement. Apparently he had a tough break, giving up his art career to chase son Beckett around the 4,400-square-foot townhouse all day while Lyons was busy running a company. Well, it now appears that Mazeau has lost half the battle. Perhaps he should dust off those paintbrushes…
THEY SAID…
Curbed: “Highlights include a full-floor master suite, bright renovated kitchen, highly organized wine cellar, and an elegant rear garden anchored by a mature Dogwood tree.” Oh who are we kidding, this whole place is a highlight. Sadly, it’s only proof that a beautiful piece of real estate might not be enough to hold a marriage together.” [Curbed]
Racked: “Guess they couldn’t decide who got to keep it in the divorce?” [Racked]
WE SAID…
Paige Dzenis, associate online editor: “While I get why every girl has a crush on Jenna Lyons, I’ve been dreaming about marrying that townhouse since it first graced the cover of Domino many years ago. How many cans of black paint do you think it inspired people to buy? Can we talk about the total luxury of having an entire room as your closet? Or a claw-foot tub in your bedroom! If you need me, I’ll be drooling over the blueprints and re-reading the listing. Does anyone want to loan me $3.75 million?”
