Think Rihanna’s Manolo Blahnik collection isn’t wearable? Let us prove you wrong

Have you been on the internet in the last 12 hours? If your answer is yes, then you know that Rihanna and Manolo Blahnik have partnered to release a shoe collection. (If your answer is no, what uh, do you do with your time?) The collab launches on May 5th and features six Rih-designed styles. What a wonderful, beautiful sentence, right? The line is called Denim Desserts (stay with me…) and ranges from $895 to $3995.

First of all, can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that Rihanna went from doing literally nothing for like two years (okay fine, she voiced an animated movie) to releasing an album, performing at the Brits, releasing two videos, debuting a collection at NYFW, and prepping for a tour—all in the first two months of 2016.

So the Manolos. You know that Rih wears Manolo Blahnik “Chaos” heels in different colours everywhere, and has for years. So it should come as no surprise that one of the designs in the collection looks just like her fave shoe. The standout, however, is the “9 to 5,” a pair of denim thigh-high hip-high boots that are truly insane (and her favourite part of the collection). “Those boots are dangerous! If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots!” she said of the boots. “Those boots are trouble.”

So where can you wear them? Well, they’re called “9 to 5” so to work, obviously.

Next up, “Dancehall Cowgirl,” a pair of bejewelled denim ankle boots. Wear these if you’ve been cast as an extra in a Jennifer Lopez or Beyoncé video. Alternatively, wear them to watch a Jennifer Lopez or Beyoncé video.

The “Riv-vi’s” (like Levi’s; get it?) are the “Chaos”-inspired shoes we mentioned. So, make like Rihanna and wear these everywhere and with everything. To dinner, to the Grammys, with a gown, with men’s boxers (never forget), with socks, sweatpants. Literally anything. Wear them to live your cute, drama-free life.

And finally, the “Sea Salts.” Covered in baby blue sequins, these frosty heels are definitely the most dessert-y of the Denim Desserts collection.

“The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes…I am sorry for that woman because I’m going to literally run after her, shouting, ‘Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?’ I’m going to have a moment!” Rihanna said of her Manolo Blahnik collab. So if you’d like to be the woman being chased down the street by Rihanna, check out the collection come May 5th.
