This Holiday Pop-Up is Your Go-To Shopping Destination for Local Goods

Now that it’s officially December, it means it’s crunch time for your holiday shopping. And while we do have a stellar online gift guide available for you to peruse over, sometimes, seeing a bunch of gifts in person is an easier way to shop.

Enter WISHLIST x Yorkville Village, a collaborative pop-up featuring local Toronto concepts by Yorkville Village and thisopenspace. It’s essentially a one-stop shop for holiday shopping featuring carefully curated collections from seven emerging and homegrown Toronto brands: KOTN, Tara Rivas, Tokyo Smoke, Four Blocks South, Devlyn van Loon, UNI+KONCEPT, and Poppys Collection.

In the space, you’ll find everything from housewares to clothing for men, women and babies and, of course, accessories.

“At thisopenspace we’ve seen that more and more entrepreneurs in fashion look to build their brands by popping up IRL,” says David King, general manager at thisopenspace. “Wishlist is just one of several ways that we hope to continue to help entrepreneurs bring their brands to life offline.”

“I usually do my own pop-up shops around the city, but I love being able to collaborate with other brands,” says Canadian designer Tara Rivas. “It is a great opportunity to network, increase brand awareness and generate sales. thisopenspace made it all possible to come together and open a unique pop-up shop in Yorkville Village for the holidays.”

This isn’t the first time thisopenspace has launched a curated pop-up shop — back in 2016, WISHLIST was launched in the Queen West neighbourhood under the same premise of featuring a handful of brands for the holiday season. This year, however, they decided to move to Yorkville Village to reach new audiences.

WISHLIST is open from now until and inclusive of December 24th from 10am-7pm on weekdays and 10am-6pm on weekends.
