Tiff 2014: Our top 10 best dressed on the red carpet this week
We’re officially at the halfway mark of TIFF 2014 and we’re naturally celebrating it with our favourite looks from the past celeb-packed couple of days. After a weekend of jaw-dropping outfits, you would think we wouldn’t be as amazed, but of course, we’re proven wrong with the arrival of more A-list stars heading in Toronto. From the battle of the best LBD between Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston to Anna Kendrick’s cute frock, we narrow down the top 10 best-dressed stars from TIFF 2014 so far.
While the attention is usually directed to the red carpet premieres, there are still plenty of other events for celebs to get dressed up. Holt Renfrew played host to Variety Studio where a number of stars dropped by including Felicity Jones who has been looking A+ at every TIFF event she’s attended. Christopher Kane has become quite the favourite designer for the young generation of stars, Hailee Steinfeld being one of them. Wearing one of his Resort 2015 creations to the Variety Studio at Holts, she juxtaposed the feminine dress with men-inspired loafers by Sandro.
Keira Knightley seriously brought game to TIFF once again. Actually, was there ever even a time she disappointed us at any of her public appearances? Nope. Although we can usually assume she’ll show up in Chanel (but she has thrown in heavyweights like Miu Miu and Dolce & Gabbana in the mix), the English Rose always has the knack to make us love her and hate her time after time in the French designer label.
And speaking of rose, Rose Byrne was also in town for her film Adult Beginners’ debut at TIFF. It’s been quite the year for the actress, style wise (she is the award recipient for the 2014 Women In Film Max Mara Face of the Future), and she can now add another best-dressed look to her list. Wearing a matching two-piece ensemble by 3.1 Phillip Lim, we cannot think of a more perfect transition piece into fall.
