It’s been confirmed that Martin Margiela is no longer involved in the design process for his company, Maison Martin Margiela. Rumours are swirling around his replacement–most pointing the finger at Haider Ackermann–although Diesel founder Renzo Rosso, who has a majority stake in Martin Margiela, would not name names, saying only, “We have a new fresh design team on board.” [Vogue UK]

Kirsten Dunst is starring in a new film: a short that follows the actress hopping around downtown Tokyo dressed in full Harajuku girl garb. The film is part of the Tate Modern exhibit “Pop Life: Art in a Material World,” created by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. [FWD]

We’re all still basking in the afterglow of Tom Ford’s directorial debut A Single Man, and he’s already got another project in the works. The designer-turned director has penned a new script that he says is “very different” from his first film, going on to say, “I don’t want to talk about it yet. I just finished editing two weeks ago, so it’s not out of my system yet.” Ford doesn’t want to talk about his women’s line either, but apparently the target launch date is fall 2011, with the company already seeking $50 million in funding.
