Toronto: Line makes their runway debut with bubbled knits, floor-sweeping scarves and cozy cashmere

LINE Fall 2010

Bringing in some big guns, Line sent a legion of top girls down the runway. We spied Alana Zimmer (who opened and closed the show), Taryn Davidson and Tara Gill all swathed from top to toe in cozy cashmere confections.  Open weaves, loopy and fuzzed out furs, and heavy knits were crafted into long, luxurious maxi dresses, union suits, leggings, floor-sweeping scarves, dresses, sweaters and what our editor-in-chief Bernadette Morra could only describe as tea cozies for toes (the fluffy shoe coverings). The tonal looks felt fresh and I overheard one buyer contentedly sigh post-show, “I am very satisfied.”  The standing O was well deserved.
