#WATCHHUNGERSTOP: Michael Kors pairs with the United Nations World Food Programme
As today (October 16) marks the second anniversary of Michael Kors pairing with the United Nations World Food Programme, the designer is releasing a second 100 Series watch that will drop in every Michael Kors store across Canada. Priced at $355, the sale of each limited edition watch will provide 100 nutritious meals to children in hunger-stricken areas. With the release of the first 100 Series watch last year, the designer generated 5 million meals to children in need, and he hopes to reach the 10 million mark this year. The watch, available in both rose gold and gold stainless steal with a world map design on the face, is intended not only to raise money, but also to raise awareness. The designer explains, “When you wear a 100 Series watch, you become an ambassador for the cause, and so far the response has been amazing.”
If you don’t have a couple hundred dollars on hand, you can still contribute to the cause by stopping by any Michael Kors store today to donate and receive a free tee shirt made specifically for the event. To spread the word, social media users are asked to “wear and share” the tee shirt using the hashtag #watchhungerstop.
So, what are you waiting for? Get down to your nearest Michael Kors today and let’s watch world hunger stop.
