We’re Obsessed With Rami Malek of Mr. Robot (and You Should Be Too)
Everyone’s talking about Rami Malek right now, as they should be. He’s currently knocking it out of the park on Mr. Robot, and Sunday night’s Emmy Awards officially confirmed this—the actor took home the Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Not only did he beat out perennial nominees like Kevin Spacey, Coach Taylor Kyle Chandler and Bob Odenkirk, but his win also marked the first time in 18 (!) years that a minority actor won this specific award (Malek is of Egyptian heritage).
For those of you who haven’t tuned in to the USA Network show (for shame!), Malek, 35, plays a morphine-addicted hacker named Elliot; a reclusive dude struggling with his own inner demons. Basically, he’s an incredibly complex character, and it’s an incredibly complex show, which will leave you wondering “WTF?!” (in the best of ways) after each episode. If that’s not enough to convince you to watch, ’90s poster boy Christian Slater appears in the series, in addition to strong and talented female up-and-comers like Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, and Grace Gummer (daughter of Meryl Streep).
Long story short, we’re obsessed with Rami Malek, and you should be too. Allow us to point out more reasons why. You’re welcome.
His off-duty style is all sorts of lovely. His on-trend varsity jacket with slim black jeans and shades has us all heart-eyed emoji.
Breton stripes on dudes forever. He could be carrying a baguette and we’d still be into this.
And don’t even get us started on backwards baseball caps. Swoon.
Looking chic (and pouty) AF, Rami.
Hanging out with Oscar Isaac like it’s NBD. Someone cast them as brothers in something, please.
Oh, and he always looks so dapper on the red carpet. (Shout out to his stylist Ilaria Urbinati).
He’s man enough to wear this printed Dior Homme suit.
His tweets make us LOL
Anyone know who’s going to the Met Gala tonight??

Seriously…
Or you can find one like Elliot’s for 10 bucks. pic.twitter.com/Lg7MiLtk6x

According to Kirsten Dunst, he and his twin brother were “the biggest flirts” in high school. Guys, there are two of them.
And, unlike Elliot in Mr. Robot, his social skills are legit on point.
