For the accessory-obsessed, Aldo Rise, the seasonal partnership that sees the footwear giant teaming up with lesser-known designers like Preen, J.W. Anderson, Roksanda and Ostwald Helgason, has got to be the coolest ongoing collab. Designer heels at just over $100 a pop? That’s what’s up!
This season, Aldo Rise collaborated with budding New York designer Misha Nonoo for the second time, launching a Spring 2015 capsule collection last week. Known for her understated, ultra chic aesthetic and jetset personal life (she married Paddle8 founder Alexander Gilkes in grand Venice style), Nonoo’s sleek flats, strappy heels and oversized envelope clutches are just right for this season’s brand of easy breezy cool. In time for the release, the modelesque Nonoo hit our office to show us what she packs inside the collection’s rose gold clutch. The reveal? Full of sentimentality and, of course, chicness.

“I love this particular clutch from all the colours available because I feel like, metallic for me is almost like a neutral. I think you can wear this with pretty much any colour. The nice thing about it is that it suits every skin tone. It’s a great size to wear it day, night. It sort of packs a punch.”
“I’m the kind of person that I actually have to downsize my bag because otherwise I stuff so much in there so I’ll start walking around lopsided.”

“So, very special because I’ve been getting a Smythson diary every year since I’ve left high school and started university, so 12 years ago. That is my first one. This is the Soho diary; my grandmother always gets it for me. She gets it every year, same one, different colour that I would like and she always gets my initials inscribed on it. It’s very special, it goes everywhere with me. It’s my notebook, my diary, it’s everything.”
“I keep my passport with me everywhere because I only confirmed I was coming to Toronto on Thursday and here I am on Monday. On Wednesday I had been in Barbados and the weekend before that in London and the week before that in LA. So I travel a lot and I always think that my passport is probably the most valuable possession I own. For me it’s the sense of freedom.”

“When I went out, it was so cold in New York, I was really suffering from chapped lips. My father-in-law is a dermatologist and he recommended Aquaphor to me as one of the best nonprescription chap sticks you can get. Now I have five tubes of it and it literally is in every single bag that I use. I’m a big Aquaphor fan, I never leave home without it.”
“I love Ling New York Anti-Aging skin care, it’s my favourite. She’s my favourite facialist in New York and that’s her apple stem cell rejuvenating serum that I put on every morning and evening.”
This roll-on fragrance by Durance is a great little mini I keep in my bag, it’s orange blossom flower. I don’t think it’s a well-known brand. I picked it up in the hotel I was staying at, the Four Seasons in Turkey in Istanbul, a few years ago and I picked up several of them because they’re just such little great ones for traveling with. I love that scent.”
“You don’t find Rituals body cream so much in America but I discovered it somewhere random like Venice in Italy. It’s this fluffy body cream that when you put it on you feel soft and really beautiful and luxurious. I love that one it’s a cherry blossom fragrance.”

“My Illesteva sunglasses were a gift a couple of years ago and I love them. I love the colour and the lens are really great and clear.”
“The Dean and Deluca mints are my favourite, and I buy in abundance. I love those and find that they’re just an easy size and pop them in.”
“I always have USB on me with my critical information. I’m one of those people who are very much a blend of the traditional and the modern and I love technology. So the smallest USB possible is where I go with that. That even has a movie on it and all sorts of things. So If I was stuck I have lots of bits and pieces to keep me entertained.”
“My iPhone 6 is glued to my hand, for obvious reasons. The [case] is something I found at the airport. It was the smallest thing. I actually really love the metal backing to an iPhone 6 so it made me sad to cover it up but I drop that thing so frequently that it needs to have a cover on it.”
