Where To Buy Kate Middleton’s Floral Emilia Wickstead Midi Dress
The Duchess of Cambridge made a surprise appearance at the Royal Horticultural Society in Wisley, UK, today and looked spectacularly summer-y doing so.
Her Royal Highness made the appearance to celebrate the new #BackToNature garden which she helped design for the Chelsea Flower Show back in May. According to royal correspondent Omid Scobie, “the permanent space includes two connected treehouses to encourage kids/families to play together and elements from previous iterations.”
Kate launched the #BackToNature initiative to draw attention to the positive effects spending time outdoors can have on children and their social and personal development. To further celebrate, Kate also reportedly personally invited families and representatives from early childhood charities and organizations she has worked with over the years to the event.

For the occasion, Kate opted for a pretty Emilia Wickstead midi dress. The piece, called Aurora, is finished in a light blue hue with a delicate floral motif – Wickstead’s signature Rosewood design, to be exact. The piece was designed exclusively for Net-a-Porter (could this mean Kate loves a NAP haul as much as we do?!) and is made from light, breathable seersucker with a belt to accentuate the waist.
Kate paired hers with her favourite footwear – the ever-trusty wedge espadrille in a wear-with-everything tan colour.
This isn’t the first time the Duchess has worn a dress by the British designer, having previously sported stylish designs from the brand on multiple other occasions. Kate’s sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, has also worn the brand despite the designer having intimated that her Givenchy wedding gown was a copy of one of her designs after the royal wedding last year.
As of right now, the Aurora dress is still available in limited sizes on the website so we suggest you move quickly if you want to snap up the perfect transition dress. The print also comes in a mini dress length, as well as a midi skirt and blouse.
