Winnipeg: Cartier, uncovered

I’ve retired my usual tangle of bracelets for something a little more understated, something simple that fits just right on my little wrist: a vintage Cartier watch that I found in a pile of unmarked, unorganized jewellery at the Ruby Slipper Vintage Shoppe (970 Sargent Ave. 204-237-4976).

Not knowing anything about Cartier watches, I did a little research on my new-found treasure. The model I got my grubby little hands on was from the 1976 Les Must de Cartier collection. It’s been said that Cartier built their reputation by knowing how to satisfy the most extravagant of desires. A statement I find incredibly appropriate. They’ve definitely satisfied all my desires with one perfect gold watch.
