The latest in a long line of American brands setting out for Canadian domination, Calvin Klein is poised to take over our fair land with 40 stores planned to open within the next five years! With spots like Montreal’s Marché Central and Mississauga’s Heartland Town Centre that opened earlier this fall, the brand officially kicked off their northern invasion last Thursday at the newest location, Toronto’s Fairview Mall, with canapés, a performance by Joe Jonas, and a gaggle of adoring fans. The brand’s global creative director Kevin Carrigan and Tom Murry, the president and CEO, were also on hand to celebrate the grand opening, but we were lucky enough to meet the two last month at their Spring 2012 preview, an event that also boasted some major hunk appeal—a group of barely clothed and seriously Adonis-like male models and freshly sunned gals.
